What to expect
The Gentle Path offers trauma-informed counselling grounded in evidence-based and body-based approaches to help you reconnect with yourself and navigate life’s challenges with clarity and compassion.
As a social worker and trauma therapist, I work using both a somatic approach and traditional psychotherapy.
I support you to tune into the wisdom of your body and your mind as a pathway to healing.
Together, we can work towards releasing what’s been held, cultivating safety, regulation, and deeper self-connection.
My approach draws on modalities such as Somatic Awareness and Processing, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT) and mindfulness-based strategies to support meaningful and sustainable change at your own pace.
I’m based in Melbourne’s inner east and offer both in-person and online sessions via Zoom, so you can connect from wherever you are.

About Me

I’m Bella, I'm a social worker and trauma therapist with a Masters of Social Work from Monash University. My career has spanned practice areas of sexual assault, family violence, and both youth/adolescent and adult mental health work. This experience has profoundly shaped how I understand trauma and resilience.
The Gentle Path was born not only from my professional experience, but from a deep appreciation of how vulnerable and brave it is to begin again, to rebuild trust in yourself and others after it has been shaken. That understanding informs the way I work: steady, compassionate, and grounded in evidence-based practice.
I’m passionate about helping people understand themselves beyond the symptoms, to gently explore the adaptations that once kept them safe, and to cultivate new ways of relating that feel more aligned and empowered.
Somatic work has become a central part of my practice because I’ve seen how trauma is carried in the body as much as the mind. By bringing mindful attention to physical sensations, patterns of tension, and nervous system responses, we can begin to shift what has felt stuck. This approach allows healing to unfold in a way that feels resourced and sustainable, rather than overwhelming.
The Gentle Path offers a calm, grounded space to reconnect with yourself, to explore with curiosity, and to move toward a life that feels more embodied and self-trusting.
